Padres need a back up, but if he's such a dick about it in Miami, would he be any better in SD behind Norris?

Do they? Hedges is finally hitting. I thought that was the only thing holding him back. He seems like a better option than trading for a back up.

small sample size in a hitters league. Not sure they want ot bring him up to sit.

Dee Gordon had the second best homestand in MLB history, going 20-for-31 (.645 BA). Yikes.

Obviously I was completely correct when I believed 2014 was a fluke year for him.

Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

A guy in my league was mocked for trading wong and kyle zimmer for gordon around this time last year. Now, not so much.

I drafted Gordon about 5 years ago, but didn't buy the hype. I moved him a major dump trade the next year, and was glad to do it.
I picked him up as a FA in mid-2013, because in this deep a league even fogging a mirror makes you worth a claim.
Kept him last year in spite of my skepticism.
Had to decide this spring, 10-O and out, or 15-L2 and option for 20-L1 in 2016.
Was still skeptical of this guy, but I LT'd him anyway.

Not sure if I deserve him, but he's mine all mine.

Stanton just hit one out of Dodger Stadium. Wow.

                        Good lord.

Not sure how accurate Frank Howard hitting one out is, but this list says McGwire, Piazza, and Stargell (twice) have hit one out of Dodger Stadium. Guess they will need to update.

the Dodgers let Frank Howard go, to the Senators relief, because he "didn't show enough power."

I'll tell a personal Frank Howard story again someday, but in summary he is the greatest gentle giant in baseball history and I have an army to back me up on that....

Could've sworn Adam Dunn hit one off Jose Lima back in the day but his was to dead center so it might've hit off the scoreboard instead or something.

Edit: Nevermind, guess it was hit in Cincy...and landed in Kentucky! (literally)

I really enjoy watching Stanton play. That power swing is one for the ages.
                              I probably replayed it on MLB.TV 10x.
