At the moment, this seems like a minor deal.

Mets injuries always seem like a minor deal...until we find out they’re not.

As Carrasco was reeling from his elbow injury, he keeled over, straining his hamstring. Dom Smith, good teammate that he is, dove in order to save Carrasco from crashing to the ground, injuring his wrist in the process.

Jed Lowrie pulled an ocular muscle reading their injury report.

And I was going to give my $3 Dom Smith a $5 raise.

Why? Seems like a perfect candidate for take your profit and run with it.

Probably a $16 player who would go for $20 in our NL only league.

I have a pretty strong team and might need the trade capital to make a run. $8 with a year will get me more interest than a $3 lame duck.

                gold Jerry, gold!

I'm looking forward to seeing how their rehab goes.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

                • Torn hammy for Carrasco.

That probably keeps him out 4-6 weeks minimum.

ETA - Andy Martino of SNY says 6-8 weeks

                  • Mets reportedly bringing back Jeff Kent... to wash his car again.

Ugh. Being a Mets fan isn’t easy.

Rough. A real shame. Cookie has been through enough. I hope he comes back strong.

They do have depth. Him, Kilome, Reid-Foley, Szapucki.

                          • Reportedly the Mets may want to use an opener for Lucchesi. If that's true, he could fall into some lucky wins. Not sure who the opener would be, but presumably one of their righty relievers.

Turns out I do not have to give Dom Smith a 1 year raise. His contract is $3A so I can decide after this year to extend or play out.

I made quite a few trades, remembered the salary forgot the year. Woo Hoo.

Yamamoto would seem to be a reasonable candidate.
