He's always been streaky, but he did tweak his ankle earlier in the week. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Miguel Sano will not be suspended following an investigation into assault allegations.
Sano was accused in December of attempting to kiss photographer Betsy Bissen and attempting to pull her into a hallway at a card signing event back in 2015. He also reportedly tried to kiss Bissen more than once. The Twins and Sano have yet to comment on the ruling. Here's part of the statement from MLB: "The comprehensive investigation included interviews of more than 20 individuals, including Sano and the complainant, as well as a review of available documents, including communication records. At the conclusion of the investigation, the Office of the Commissioner found that there was insufficient evidence to support a disciplinary determination against Sano, due to conflicting and inconsistent witness accounts and the absence of contemporaneous substantiation."

Now the question is, will his generous carriage allow him to play 3B? First he needed to do it because they had LoMo for DH. Now he needs to do it because they need Escobar to play SS while Polanco is out.Comment

If a panda can play third, why not Sano? Accounts of Sano's defense I've read indicate he is adequate enough there. I don't know if the extra 20 or so pounds he probably will carry into the season will slow him down enough to make him unplayable.Originally posted by joncarlos View PostComment

Byron Buxton was diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his left big toe after fouling a pitch off of his foot on Sunday.
Buxton was playing in extended spring training games while he worked his way back from migraines. The Twins announced that they'll have a better idea on a potential return date in the next five days or so, but he'll obviously be sidelined longer than originally anticipated.

Yeah, they can't win for losing this season...the weather is horrible, they had to play the Yankees, LOL. And Buxton being hurt...his absence is magnified by the dominoes that fall, Kepler moving to CF, Grossman plays more, the defense suffers badly. Missing Santana, Lynn sucks for some reason, and the bullpen is abysmal...which may coincide with the signing of Fernando Rodney.
