Looking at that 50th HR video, I can't help but wonder what the hell is that group behind "green shirt guy" doing. Why are they at the game if they're not even paying attention to Ohtani's at bats?

amazing year for him, I wonder how many steals he would have had without the new rules in place. Doesn't matter, still an epic season, but I assume he would not have had 50 SB under old rules.---------------------------------------------

I'm really glad the dark clouds of the gambling scandal did not derail this historic season. We may be witnessing the greatest offensive season for the greatest overall player in baseball history, given his unreal skills as both a hitter and pitcher. He is a modern day Babe Ruth, which makes him even more impressive, given the level of play in the modern game.

The Dodgers are calling up top pitching prospect Edgardo Henriquez,to see what his 104 mph fastball looks like out of the bullpen.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

In addition to all his other amazing accomplishments this year, Ohtani also has a chance for 100 XBHs. He's at 96 now. This has been done only 15 times in MLB history, the last time in 2001 when 4 different players did it. Actually, the last time it was done in a "non-steroids era" was in 1948 by Stan Musial, so one of the really rarer feats. Judge also has an outside chance w 94 XBH currently.

Dodgers clinched the NL West title yesterday by beating SD 7-2.
Also, Shohei Ohtani accomplished another rare feat by getting to 400 total bases for the season. Not quite as rare as 100 XBH but still pretty rare. It has been done only 29 times before, the last time in 2001 when 4 players did it, the same 4 that got 100 XBH (Helton, Bonds, Sosa and Luis Gonzalez). But the last time a non-steroids era player did it was 1978 when Jim Rice accomplished the feat. Ohtani now has 97 XBH so he has 3 G to get 3 more.
