The Orioles are calling up OF Kyle Stowers. Meanwhile, Heston Kjerstad is lucky to get one start per week in the Orioles crowded outfield. And Austin Hayes is due back from the IL any day now to further complicate things.
edit: Orioles optioned OF Heston Kjerstad to Triple-A Norfolk.Last edited by madducks; 05-13-2024, 01:44 PM.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

The Orioles just received a wicked one-two punch with the announcements that both John Means and Tyler Wells are getting UCL surgery.
Looks like they will have to utilize their surplus of hitters to acquire some much needed arms.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

The Orioles rotation continues to be snakebit this season with Kyle Bradish now being placed on the 15-day IL with a right UCL sprain.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

When you are the backup catcher to Adley Rutschman you have to make the most out of the few games that you are fortunate enough to play in.
James McCann was able to finish the first game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Blue Jays despite taking a pitch to the face in the first inning.
McCann had blood streaming out of his nose for several minutes after being plunked by Yariel Rodríguez, but to the amazement of everyone, he remained in the game and even delivered a single later. After the game, he said that his nose is probably broken and his left eye was swollen.
