  • Jose Dariel Abreu to the South Side....

    Per MLBTraderumors:

The White Sox will sign Cuban first baseman Jose Dariel Abreu for six years and $68MM, MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez reports (on Twitter). The deal is pending a physical. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal originally reported that Abreu would sign for six years and $68MM, and that the White Sox were be the likely team.
Seemed like a likely fit, signals the end of the Konerko era. I wonder if it will be Abreu or Dunn at 1B?

The Mets need lots of things.

Kidding aside though, that's clearly a fav to here in bidding. That's part of why guys like Pujols end up in the AL - they can DH at the end of contracts. NL teams can't take the same risk. MLB needs to do something about it (like dropping the DH).

              nice.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.
