Eaaarrrlly look at 2014 Keepers - AL

For those of you who saw my NL post, it's the same rules regarding a +$5 salary hike for any player kept going into 2014. I went for it this year (only for my team to tank in the final 2 weeks and finish 2nd) and as a result do not have a lot of cheap players.

Must keep 3, no more than 10

Just looking at my roster, I don't see any "definites"...I have a feeling I'll be keeping a lot of salary in players like Altuve, Perez, Trumbo, Cruz and really trying to buy value at the auction next year . That being said, I do have some potential bargains at pitcher in Lewis, Milone, Soria, Miller, Hochevar, Hunter

You should keep Villar $1 and either Scherzer or Felix. I like Perez, even at that price. If you can work around his BA, Dominguez' power is intriguing. And if he stays in the AL, keep Nelson Cruz.

Are these the actual salaries? If not, it would have been easier to post their 2014 prices.

Dominguez, Matt(3B) HOU 2 Yes but I'd try to move him as I hate power guys with empty averages.
Villar, Jonathan(SS) HOU 1 Good source of steals
Cruz, Nelson(OF) TEX 21 Probably
Scherzer, Max(P) DET 29 Yes
Hernandez, Felix(P) SEA 23 Yes
Milone, Tommy(P) OAK 5 Yes
Soria, Joakim(P) TEX 4 Yes if Nathan moves on

KC likes Hochevar in the pen so I'd pass on him.

Standard 5x5, here's who I like, with the 5 bucks added per your rules.

Perez, Salvador(C) KC 16 - Admittedly risky, but I like him in a traditional 5x5 league. He'll help your BA, drives in a good number, has some pop, and he's young with room to improve.
Dominguez, Matt(3B) HOU 7
Villar, Jonathan(SS) HOU 6 Pretty cheap speed, IMO.
Hernandez, Felix(P) SEA 28 Still a good price for your staff lead.
Milone, Tommy(P) OAK 10 Like him, don't love him, at this price.
Soria, Joakim(P) TEX 9 - As virgo noted, if Nathan is gone, good price for a closer here.
Lewis, Colby(P) TEX 8 - Like Milone, like him, but don't love him at this price.

I'd definitely keep Villar, I don't really love Perez or Dominguez but would consider them. I'd definitely keep Felix and Soria. Milone is a possibility too but I think that's about it.

I'd keep for sure: Dominguez $2, Villar $1, Hunter $1, King Felix $23.
I'd probably also keep: Tazawa $1, Altuve $25, S.Perez $11, Scherzer $29
Depending on how Spring Training pans out: Crain $2

It's a lot of salary on 2 players, but you'd have to feel really good about going into a draft knowing you've already locked up Felix Hernandez and Max Scherzer.

I drop Soria from the list with Feliz projected to close but I still keep the others.
