  • Playoffs rotation.

This is a 16 team H@H league with a lot of stats: W, L, ERA, Hold, Sv, IP, WHIP, CG. Which 8 would you throw out for next week?
    3xSP, 3xRP, 2xFlex.

I could try the WW, but I doubt I will find anything better than the top 8 here.

    SP Cole Hamels
    SP Zack Greinke
    SP José Fernández
    SP Felix Doubront
    SP Gio González
    SP Zack Wheeler
    SP Yusmeiro Petit

    RP Addison Reed
    RP Rex Brothers
    RP Ernesto Frieri
    RP Jim Henderson
    RP Jonathan Papelbon
    RP Will Smith
    Ad Astra per Aspera

    Greinke is a must-start IMO.

Fernandez and Wheeler possibly reaching their innings limit. Check the local papers for the beat writers' take on this.

Petit--Look at his career numbers. Tread cautiously.

Among the relievers, I'm not high on Reed. Henderson is a must-play, Papelbon the next closest to it. Smith has been terrific lately.

The rest--Look at number of starts and matchups for the SPs.

Good call. Fernandez will make one more start.

Petit is the guy that retired the first 26 straight Friday. He had a 9 IP Win, 7K, 0.00 ERA, 0.111 WHIP, CG for my bench.

Felix Doubront is history. I had to cut someone to pick up Rutledge for 2014.

I figured that Friday's amazing performance was why you were considering Petit. I was urging caution, given his career numbers.

Good call on Doubront. I like him, always have, but the results have never been properly consistent given his talent.

The WW dries up after today. I have to get what I can.

How is this for a dilemma? I have Segura, Brad Miller and now Rutledge. i can likely only keep two. At 2B I have Cano.

I don't see a dilemma. Segura and Miller in that order, with Rutledge well behind.

Segura first obviously, but I would put Miller and Rutledge fairly close at this point. In terms of value, all three are worth keeping, since they come with a couple of option years.

Maybe I a m just grousing a bit. I can probably get decent trade value over the winter. This time last year the player was Gyorko. I made the wrong call on that one, even though he had no role on the team.

Rutledge had a slow April, a decent May, but was dreadful in June and July. Since he came back up he's hitting .500. I think expectations were too high and he pressed. Miller is a regular and Rutledge is a sub, but he's a sub behind Tulo and plays home games at Coors. Agewise there is only 6 months difference.
