  • Profar--SS eligible in 2014?

I have Profar in my AL only league, I would much rather have him at SS than 2B, he needs 20 games. Right now he has 14 games. Last week I thought it was a slim chance, but Andrus has a back issue now and 'hopes to be back by Tuesday'. With 26 games left, only 2 off days, 5 day games after night games and Andrus' balky back, does he make it? If the back issue continues even if he can play, doesn't it make sense to let him DH and let Profar play SS? FWIW Profar has been DH 14 times as well.......

    Just hoping.......fingers crossed....

Game #16 at shortstop tonight, just doubled in the go-ahead run. Looking good for getting to 20, unless (a) the West race goes down to the wire again, and (b) Andrus comes back in the next couple of days.

With Andrus I fully expect them to give his back a rest either completely or at least puting him at DH a few times. Profar has played the position well--even if it goes to the wire I think they trust his defense enough to put him out there. The real threat would be if Berkman got hot and they couldn't put Adnrus at DH.

Rotoworld says Profar is at SS again today. That's game #17. I think he'll make it to 20.
