  • Roto Times looking more and more like a site thats going out of business

I go to click on one of thier front page stories about ADP and its from Feb 17th!
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

as I look around its all old stuff. Why not just take it down?

Yeah, that is either one hell of a bug or somebody forgot to turn off the switch. Not a good sign when your most recent baseball content is mid-February two weeks before opening day. They sure have a lot of high profile partners listed (MSNBC, AOL, Comcast, MSN, OnRoto, Fox, SI) -- hope none of them are currently relying on RT for the news feed!

More like Scrototimes, am I right?
I'm sorry, man, but I've got magic. I've got poetry in my fingertips. Most of the time--and this includes naps --I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground.

I thought Rototimes was part of Fanball. I know OnRoto changed it newsfeed to Rotoworld this year.

I posted that in the check-in thread, and according to Jason, all the writers got canned on 2/17. Why they're leaving the site up as an internet ghost town is beyond me.

              aaah-so grasshopper.

The player rater is still a cool feature but man youd think with all those big names behind that site, theyd just put it down.

I still use their site for newspapers. Some of the links no longer link (Padres/Astros), but most still do. Does anyone know of a good site for newspaper links?

                  Rotoworld has them.

The player rater tool still works well at rototimes, but that's its only usage right now

Perhaps a name change to www.hardtimes.com?

                          Jason,
did you ever hear anything about the old RJ site? Just curious.

holy crap - nice site! thanks for the pointer .

i do my own valuations, based on average category distributions in my leagues over past years, but having the predictions feeds into that, so that is nice to have. i myself use an average of marcel, ZiPS, fangraphs, and CBS, but the 11-method composite at that site is even better at regressing to the mean prediction...
