Not fun to see as a Cards fan/Shelby Miller owner. Looked like it hit him on the back of the elbow. He didn't go to the ground but he didn't object at all to be taken out of the game either.

And I was looking forward to Shelby vs. Puig.

Shelby says he'd like to pitch his next start; I'll guess that the Cardinals hold him out of one start and let him come back to make a start next Saturday/Sunday.

Interesting decision by Cards manager Mike Matheny to pitch Westbrook in relief, on 3 days rest, and bring up Carlos Martinez to start tonight. His other option would have been to burn through the bullpen, then maybe swap some middle relief with AAA affiliate Memphis today.
