Trade Span for Ibanez?

I need power (and the ribbies which often go with it). Another owner offered me Ibanez for my $1 Denard Span.

Ibanez has (inexplicably) 20 dingers. Span has been up and down.

Is Ibanez worth taking the chance? Any chance he will hit enough in the second half to help?

I can't see him continuing at a 1 HR/12 AB pace. If he reverts to last year's pace of 1 HR/20 AB (which is still pretty good), figure him for 10-12 HR and low to mid 30 RBI. If that helps you in the standings and you're in contention, go for it.

Span is pretty valueless in a 15-teamer, so even if Ibanez cools off, it's still worth it.
