Nationals placed RHP Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right lat.
Strasburg was scratched from a scheduled bullpen session on Wednesday due to lingering soreness in his right lat muscle. The Nationals are hopeful that he will feel well enough to be activated on June 16 -- the first day he's eligible. Strasburg, 24, has registered a 2.54 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 73/21 K/BB ratio in 74 1/3 innings this season.
