Herrera, both Monteros, Rutledge -- why are these guys being sent to AAA all at the same time? Is there something having to do with the service time rules or is it a coincidence? Does it have some relation to the Super Two date coming up in early June?

It's not relevant to your eventual Super Two status whether you were in the majors or minors in early June. All that counts is your number of days on the major-league roster throughout the whole season. The "Super Two date" is the estimated date that a player would reach the necessary total service days if they stayed in the minors until that date, were called up to the majors on that date, and then stayed in the majors from then on.
It's only an estimated date because what matters is where a player ranks in service time as compared to his peers. The top 22% in service time of the two-year class are eligible for salary arbitration. People have projected out how the service time will look at the end of the 2015 season and come up with the date in early June, but that's only an estimate. We'll know at the end of the 2015 season what the actual "Super Two date" in 2013 was."Jesus said to them, 'Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going into the kingdom of God ahead of you.'"
