    Any opinions on this?
    16 team mixed...Cats are W, S, K, ERA, WHIP, QS,

We start 9 pitchers...7 SP and 2 RP

We can slot a SP into the RP role if eligible.

Think its better to play a SP in the RP role?

    This has been my lineup

    Gio Gonzalez
    Mat Latos
    Homer Bailey
    Clay Buchholz
    Cole Hamels
    Jordan Zimmermann
    Chris Tillman
    Kyle Kendrick (RP)
    Kris Medlen (RP)

    Rick Porcello (bench)
    Jorge de la Rosa (bench)

    or I could play
    Andrew Bailey
    Greg Holland
    in the RP slots

What do you think is better?

    Thanks

Medlen stinks and I expect Bailey to close when he returns so I'd make that switch.

    Ottawa Triple Eh's | P.I.M.P.S. | 14 team keep forever
    Champions 16,21 | Runner up 17,19-20

The FOS (retired) | MTARBL | 12 team AL 5x5
    Champions 01,05,17 | Runner up 13-15,20

It really depends on where your team is. How far behind are you in saves? If you're close, I would definitely start Bailey & Holland.

Should have said this is a head to head league

It depends a lot on who you're facing, how many closers they have, and what your pitchers matchups are. I would say it absolutely makes sense to play Holland and/or Bailey at least some of the time.

              Agreed.

I assume it's not daily lineup changes then? If that's the case, I would base it on my opponent as well as what kind of match-ups your starters have. I'd pretty much automatically start any of your top 6 starters if they have a 2-start week, but I'd sit any of your bottom 3 if they have difficult match-ups. In a 16-teamer you're going to run into opponents with 0 or 1 closers where it would be beneficial to put your closers in there to virtually guarantee one category while (hopefully) helping your ratios. You should at least start both closers some weeks so your opponents won't think they can start just one closer against you to win that category.
