    ASS used to mail weekly stats updates in the early 1990s - hey, only a couple of days behind when you got them!
    then they offered fax - wow, every week for one day, stats were up to date!

      By the time I joined my league in 1998, the days of faxing were gone, but we were using a primitive stat site that updated once a week. I hit the refresh button a lot on Mondays. We switched to CBS in 2000, then ESPN this year.

        Oh, that's right! And you got a discount if you agreed to take the printed stats on an odd-ball day of the week, rather than the "end" of the week.
