Wow! It's like insider trading if you traded for him before that went public lol.

Official scoring changes should never be allowed past the end of the game...everyone lobbies for their guy. The pitcher wants an error charged, and the hitter wants a hit....screw 'em both and just call it the way you see it, and stand by your decision. And MLB should make it an official position, chosen by MLB, and not allow any influence by the club. The official scorer for year with the Twins was the former PR guy...just sayin'.

Exactly. Scorer initially ruled it an error. After the game, it was announced it was changed to a hit. Funny how scoring can be changed "for integrity" but bullshit home runs cannot. Oh well.

Price's ERA went from 6.24 to 4.78 yesterday between this scoring change and his game. He looked very good yesterday despite the earned runs allowed as a few of those hits were some weak weak contact on cutters and broken bats. He's turning a corner (finally) and was up as high as 96 yesterday after pitch 110.

The 'Official Scorer' should NOT belong to the home team. It should be a MLB official. Here's an idea......let's get a MLB official who can multitask-replay official AND official scorer!

the official scorer for Rays games is a baseball coach from a local college. There are MLB employees in the pressbox that run the Gameday systems
