  • Evaluate my trade

Co-owner felt the need to pull the trigger on some kind of deal to improve our pitching. Not sure it helps, though.

    4x4 NL only 10 teams

    We give up

    Kyle Lohse $7
    Ian Kennedy $15

    for
    Kris Medlen $10
    Aaron Harang

Basically we can turn Harang into any available free agent pitcher. Scott Feldman might be the best available.

All 3 pitchers involved will see salary increases of $4 in 2014.

    Thoughts?

Since K's don't matter, it's OK...but really nothing special. No true winner here than I can see...

The winner is having a cheaper Medlen instead of a more expensive Kennedy next year

this....I don't see how the trade really helps you for this year

I'd rather have Lohse and Kennedy, though I'm shocked Feldman is on the waiver wire on a 10-team NL only league.
I'm just here for the baseball.

given what he said about using Harang to pick someone up, I suspect it's one of those leagues where you get a limited number of cuts/pickups or where you can only replace people who get hurt or traded out of the league.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

not limited, but they cost $$ and you don't have priority to just cut an active player and replace him. DL moves come first. And since Harang is in the AL, that also is a priority.
