He's hitting .253/.344/.481 with five homers so far, playing good third base... Is he actually decent now or is this just small sample size?

Made his 3rd start (and 4th appearance) at 2B today. Batted third, between Castro and Rizzo, and got on base three times - fourth time he's done that in the last six games.
This guy's past stats are all over the place (including unusual LHP/RHP and home/road splits before 2013), so I don't know what to expect from him going forward. I think his slugging % looks too high so far because of HR/sample size, but 16 BB/17 K in 106 PA is terrific.people called me an idiot for burning popcorn in the microwave, but i know the real truth. - nullnor -
The numbers so far are decent if not inspirational, but he has enough history to make me say, "Meh". OTOH, Ian Stewart is so far in the doghouse that I'm not sure he'll ever get out.

oh that's interesting. I didn't realize he didn't qualify. As surprising as he is, keep in mind he's in a straight platoon with Ransom and so will likely miss half the week's games.Comment
