  • Tulo hurt

For those of you who had April 28 in your "when will Tulo get injured pool", you win!

He appeared to hurt himself at a play at the plate in the first inning. Herrera is in. No word yet on the extent of the injury.

Had to see if this was new or bumped from a previous year.

Who's more injury prone Tulowitzki or Reyes?

            Tulo-Reyes games played since 2007 (Tulo's 1st full season)

2007: 155-160 (Reyes played more games)
            2008: 101-159 (Reyes)
            2009: 151-36 (Tulo)
            2010: 122-133 (Reyes)
            2011: 143-126 (Tulo)
            2012: 47-160 (Reyes)
            2013: 24-10 (Tulo-so far)

Reyes has played more games from 2007-13 (784-743) but Tulo may overtake him this year lol.

Hererra looked really good at SS yesterday, is he the short-term fill-in?

Ruthledge could fill in at SS too. It would be nice if they still had Nelson.

According to the Denver Post‘s Troy Renck, the Rockies said Tulowitzki suffered a mild strain of the rotator cuff in his non-throwing shoulder and will be re-evaluated on Monday.

                    Rotoworld:
Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) is only expected to miss a game or two.
Tulowitzki left Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks after straining his left rotator cuff on a slide at home plate. "I was worried when it happened. It kept tightening up," Tulowitzki told reporters on Sunday night. "But I am definitely more confident about it now. Other than losing the game, I am sitting here taking a deep breath and expressing a sigh of relief that I am going to be OK."

And normally the news that he'll likely return in only 1-2 games would be good news. In Tulo's case, this just means he can be injured again by Wednesday.
