  • Anibal Sanchez had a ridiculous game today

8 innings, 5 hits, one walk, no runs, 17 strikeouts against the Braves.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

It was only a matter of time before Maholm reverted to the mean. I did not expect Anibal to throw out a game like that against the Braves...where was that when he was on my NL-Only team?!?!

Not as far-fetched as Kyle Kendrick throwing a CGSHO.

I'm not sure that is true this year. I think this might be his career year, and that he could be mostly on the high end (although, of course not this high). He's looked great so far, and he has the talent.
