Drop Archer for Happ?

14 team NL H2H. Archer can be kept forever with a 19th round pick. Is he worth stashing?

ETA: Lowrie, Moss and Santos are other candidates. I do have Soriano, Street and Fujikawa.

At this point, no question you pick up Happ. The drop is a harder question.

Unless you need him everyday, I would lean to Lowrie.

I should probably provide more info. This is a 14-team H2H league with daily hitting and weekly pitching moves (you can make pitching moves once during the week, after your weekly lineup is set). So, MR aren't much use if they aren't closing. They are better off sitting so they don't hurt your ratios.

I have Reyes, so the plan was to grab a backup SS, and that is Lowrie. My co-manager wants to hang onto Lowrie for now, and suggested we drop Santos, because we have 3 closers and it's Janssen's job in Toronto.

Happ for Santos done. There had been some activity (25 add/drops during the season) so I wanted to grab Happ before someone else did. With Shields/Cueto/Peavy/Ogando/Happ/Griffin I may be able to trade one for an offensive upgrade down the road.
