AL-Only Keeper Help

Keepers are due tomorrow night in my 10-team AL-only 5x5 (OBP) league. 23-man rosters - 12 hitters (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, OF, OF, OF, OF, Util), 9 pitchers, 2 bench

Need to choose 7 out of these possibilities:

Mike Trout - $10/2014
Austin Jackson - $17/14
David Murphy - $2/14
Adam Dunn - $18/14
Andy Dirks - $10/14
Trevor Plouffe - $10/14 (only eligible at 3B/OF now)

Jim Johnson - $10/13
James Shields - $13/13
Andy Pettitte - $1/14
Jason Hammel - $10/14
Ernesto Frieri - $10/14
AJ Griffin - $10/14

Considering there's plenty of value here I've already ruled out guys like Verlander ($38), CC ($31), and Mauer ($19 - we only start 1 catcher)

Top 3 hitters, top 3 pitchers for sure. Probably like Frieri best of the rest but would lean towards Dirks to give you better balance

Get a month or two of saves out of Frieri and trade him for something you need. In my 12 team AL only, a save guy could snatch a top hitter.

Keeping Dirks would fill up my whole outfield so although I'm a big fan, I'd like to have a little flexibility going into the draft.

No love for Adam Dunn considering it's an OBP league? His BA is a sinkhole in standard leagues but last year's .333 OBP is at least decent and his career OBP (.370) is almost elite. Plus, he's a 1B so it gives my offense a little more balance since my other keepers are all outfielders.

I do like Frieri a lot but closers are undervalued in this league and he could only end up with a handful of saves if Madson doesn't have any setbacks.

Yep, in an OBP I like an $18 Dunn just fine. I would put Frieri back and let others overspend for his 15 saves. If it was ave. it would be another story.

Even in a one C league, because it is an OBP and only 10 teams, Mauer at 19 is more profitable than guys like Petttite. Once you get to Cs 8 through 10, like Arencibia, you are talking some poor OBP.

Suzuki - $3
Saltalamacchia - $1

while the following guys had been kept:
Wieters - $10
Santana - $10
Avila - $10

guys like Pierzynski didn't even get drafted

So yeah, Mauer will probably be the catcher that goes for the most, but there is plenty of value to be had.
