Batting cleanup for the Marlins, Placido Polanco had a double in three at-bats Monday against the Tigers.
Marlins manager Mike Redmond is thinking about using Polanco behind Giancarlo Stanton in the order, figuring that he'd at least make some contact following those occasions on which Stanton gets pitched around. Ideally, Logan Morrison would settle into the spot once he returns from knee surgery.

I like Polanco. I drafted him in my Scoresheet league to fill in at 3B until Headley gets healthy.
That being said I don't give Giancarlo Stanton a single pitch if he's being protected by Polanco in the line up. I realize their options are limited, but I'd think Brantly or Ruggiano would be a bit fit there until Morison is healthy. Hell, I'd put Kotchman there before Polanco.
