oh my lord. I was looking for a draft to do tonight and figured one where I had to put in a little money might make the other people take it a bit more seriously. I looked at the ESPN prize-eligible leagues.
It's $25 to buy a team. 10 teams in the league. First prize is 100 points in the "Winner's Circle" store, which will get you a T-shirt or a water bottle. Second prize is nothing.
Now, there's some prizes for having the overall best score across all leagues, but... really?
addendum: Yahoo! also has paid leagues. Payout is 93%. How on earth is ESPN getting people to do this?
