The closest thing I can think of would be to rank the dollar values in order. Most expensive player is first pick, right? And so on. There would be many ties, and some abnormalities when position scarcity or extra money factors in.

Consider if you have a snake draft every year. You would assign dollars to each draft position the same every year, but obviously the stats could be distributed very differently. So I think the best you can do is come up with a very rough approximation based on lots of assumptions. But I believe you are much better off basing dollar values on projected statistics.---------------------------------------------
