        That was when the Moorad group was purchasing the team. I believe the new O'Malley/Seidler group didn't need to. What a deal for Moores and Moorad, by delaying this deal, they each pocket and extra $200 and $150 million respectively (because of the appreciation/TV deal). Not bad for putting a franchise in limbo for 3+ years

          In other Padres news, I talked to GITH yesterday....
