Drafting injured/suspended players

9 team 5x5 NL-only Keeper league. $260 budget. 23 players (2 catchers). Injured players can go on the DL. Suspended players must be kept on the active roster.

What is the maximum auction price would you pay for the following players?
I'm thinking:
Grandal (50 games suspension) - $3
Beachy - $7
Luebke - $5

In a league that shallow I expect they'll go pretty cheap. I'd go a little higher for Grandal though.

Beachy - back in June/July - $5 (June TJ)
Grandal - back in late May - $7
Luebke - May/June - $5 (May TJ)

I doubt that anyone would go more than 5 bucks for any of the players...just too many question marks, IMO.

For perspective, two years ago Wainwright was drafted for $8 with knowledge that he was going to be out that entire year.

By the way, I have done this in the past as well sometimes it works out and some times it does not. One added bonus is you could use these guys as trade bait during dump season.

Yeah, for an owner who has a strong keeper list he'll use these assets to trade and an owner that is rebuilding will use the assets to build with.
