If I had more confidence in Bailey than Hanrahan I would have picked Bailey 10 rounds ago. Just saying that I'm not a huge believer in Hanrahan; as Frank said, I have serious concerns about how his stuff will translate to the AL East. He had a walk rate over 5 last year and a 39% GB rate. He was great at preventing the long ball in 2011 and that evaporated last year. His skills are all over the map which means we don't really know what they are. Pitching for the Pirates in PNC Park is a lot different than pitching in Fenway.

Bailey seems like he's healthy now, so maybe he can steal the job and get a few saves before he gets hurt again. Maybe. I certainly think he's a good spec pick at #480 or whatever.

Hanrahan supposedly had an injury last year that caused him to change his delivery, resulting in much lower velo and less control. I suspect that having Farrell as a manager will do wonders for him, putting him back towards the top tier of closers...

Frank has Prado (who qualifies at 2B, SS, 3B and OF) at 2B and Young in the OF in the roster thread. You should look there and while you are there fill in your roster. It's rather empty.

You're right on Hammer's roster though. I count only 4 OF.

Prado had 10 games at 2B and 13 at SS last season and according to the 1st page of the draft thread they need 15. So as Don Adams used to say, "missed it by that much."

I thought we go by what Yahoo says. Weren't we doing that with Victor Martinez? It's not my roster so I'm not trying to argue anything, just commenting on what I found. Is it a situation where he can move things around after the draft but for our draft Prado doesn't qualify at 2B?

Right, that's what I pointed out. Revo is correctly pointing out that our rules on the first page say the player must have played 15 games the previous year and Prado didn't do that at 2B and SS. It seems we have a little bit of a overlap of rules. Which is why I guessed that for our draft we use the 15 games but once the season starts we can use whatever Yahoo says. It would be impossible to enforce the 15 games all season with Yahoo going by a different set of rules.

Also...Rutledge (also on Frank's team) is 2B and SS on yahoo as well. He played 22 games at 2B in the minors last year.

That's a good question, I have no idea. I guess this is a question for Piney.
