Because it's actually played out. Which technically makes it not a mock at all.

Also I think one year someone else started a mock 1 before this one, and so we called this one the "real mock one"

Yup JC is right. Mock 1 was the first mock that turned into a live league. When I took this over 2 years ago it was easier to keep the name the same.

JC was always part of the mock 1 crowd. I was always in mock 2 until a few years ago I joined up here noticing the mock drafts were slowing down. At one time we had a couple of mixed league mocks with mock 1 always being 20 teams. We also had a couple of AL and NL mock drafts going. I miss those days.

I remember when we had at least 5 or 6 mocks drafts going at once. I had created a spreadsheet tracking all the picks and created an ADP of all the drafts. This was before couchmanagers or mockdraftcentral so ADP lists weren't that easy to come by. Good times.
