I think the Astros actually made some kind of announcement that he was the front-runner. I was letting him slide another couple rounds, mostly because his BB/9 says he probably can't do the job anyway, but someone needs to close out their 55 wins, and they don't have a ton of useful arms in the 'pen.

Bummer - I'm surprised Iwakuma lasted this long - kinda thought he had fallen in a crack...BJE rooting around possibly dug up a nice late round SP.

Meh, he's in his early 30's already, and with his peripherals, I really can't see him holding the job for long, if he even breaks camp with it. I would suspect that the few wins that they're going to get will be closed out by a committee of guys until they find a kid that they can grow with.

As a Phillies fan, I hope Hammer is right about Kendrick. Last year was the first where he showed any kind of ability at all to make batters swing and miss. We'll see if it sticks.

Obviously Phils management thinks it's for real, otherwise they wouldn't have traded Worley.

He was outstanding in the rotation last year after struggling when they inexplicably put him in the 'pen. I rode him in several leagues. But this year the outfield D has taken a step back, and the fences are moved in, so I'm a little wary.

Nunez was on the shortlist. I was debating between him and Parra for my CI. (Taking Parra moved Swisher there)

Nunez has more upside and probably would have been the smarter pick.

Boo on silentmist for taking Marshall, since he would have been my Broxton insurance, but I wasn't picking him for at least 3 more rounds yet, so I guess I was destined not to have him.
