Rather than continue a pitcher run, I decided to add to my offense. There were no obvious hitters that I saw for me to choose from, but I like Austin's 5-category potential and Freddie's development and upside.

Just wonder folks thoughts on Cespedes. I like him alot but was suprised to see him go before Holliday and Bruce.

I almost took him the pick before. If you've watched him play, this young man is the real deal. Throw in the fact that he only got better in the second half as he made adjustments to the majors and he is due for a big break out. His power is real and somehow despite being built like a middle linebacker, he has surprising speed.

Bruce will kill your Avg while giving you next to nothing in the steal department. Cespedes has 30 HR+ power if he stays healthy all year, throw in fifty points of batting average and twenty steals, I don't even think it's close.

Agreed. I thought he went 5 or so OF too early.

It's the upside of unproven vs the "you know what you're gonna get". Didn't surprise me at all. Dude has it all. If I had to bet, I would say he ends up with better numbers than both but just a hunch.

Hey Fantastico! What's up with three starting pitchers in the first four rounds?

One thing is for sure, he won't finish in last with that strategy.

How dare you question Fantastico . Actually , its just kinda happened . I usually get five hitters in the first six rounds . But everyone's steaming into batting early . I might get a bit of value this way . but I aint confident .

Cool. I was just curious if this was some strategy you'd come up with.

Ike Davis was probably a reach on my part but I needed a home run hitter. I also wanted to veer away from the Forecaster listings since it seems as if many of the teams are using this as the basis for their selections and it somehow bothers me that this is so. I decided that I would rather infuse more of me into my choices.

Can I smack you? I was looking for Ike Davis, but a couple of rounds later.
Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.
