No worries, I was hoping I'd get Heyward on the way back and that disappointed me too. I do like Jones, I'm just not expecting him to improve on 2012.

I didn't think Harper was a first rounder, but then I looked at his 2k13 projection and his numbers made me think he could be.

Don't have a problem with him over Reyes or Longoria. Probably would have picked Bautista over Harper though.

Not a big fan of Hamilton this year in LA. The other big risers compared to the mock I did in November are Grandy and J-Up.

Hey all, 2000 miles across country with 2 fat dogs later, here I am in Lovely Arizona. Only an 81 degree difference between what we had in Minnesota...

Good picks so far, IMO, nothing that jumps out as a reach. Harper is certainly a 1st rounder this year, IMO...nobody has the chance to have his numbers skyrocket like he does.

Ouch !! -so your suggesting Adam Jones is a 5th rd pick in our 20 team mixed?
No, in a standard 12-14 team league. Harper at 14 would be a 1st rounder in any of those leagues.

And I see you selected him, which is a great pick. My 5th round projection may have been too high, but my point is that why not take the "proven" commodity at a cheaper price.

Yeah, Grandy might be a stretch for some but he is two things I love: consistency and in a walk year. You would know better than me though JC as a Yankee fan, it seems like he's the man now. All the other stars are fading and he is at his peak and thriving in that tough market. Oh Yeah, also, gotta love that right field porch. Every time he steps up it's like he's shootin skeet. PULL! I think a small leap in average and RBI and a dip in Runs.

Hamilton is always a risk/reward guy and that park should play against but man can he rake mediocre pitching. Being in So Cal worries me a little. Just Keep him away from the Kardashians.

Are we officially on the clock now?

Yes. There is no clock in the first round, but there is from the second round on.

I was really shocked to see Posey slide this far down the draft board. I know we only play one catcher, but he doubles as a 1B as well.

I was about to take him but depth at the position as opposed to ss and castros speed led me to him.

My second choice was Cespedes, glad to see I wasn't that far off.

I really don't care about position scarcity too much, I'm more interested in collecting stats. In a 20 teamer, it's tough enough to collect counting numbers anyway.

Really shocked that David Price fell that far.

Yeah I was going to take him, but in a 20-team league, starting pitchers are the easiest commodity to replace.
