You might see Zebby Matthews this year.

Painter throwing 99 in live batting practice.

Chandler Simpson stole 3 bases today and now has 102 for the season. He is the 1st MiLB player to have 100+ SBs since Billy Hamilton broke the MiLB record in 2012. He also is leading full-season leagues in BA at .353. He also has more walks than Ks not only this year but in his entire MiLB career. BA's report says he is a plus defensive CFer. Tantallizing!

The bad news is that Kevin Cash will be his manager when he gets called up. So, he will bat ninth, get pinch hit for every fourth time through the order, and only start three times a week.

              Thoughts on Zac Veen.

Seems like he might be a good end game stash for keeper leagues with prospects.

                Thanx for the response, Gregg.

I've soured a bit on Veen. You could write off last year as being injury-affected, but he still is not hitting. He hasnt really hit very well since his first year at Low-A. I've been intrigued by his SBs and he continues to accumulate them but BA's report says he has only average speed but is an instinctual baserunner. BA says his power projection is upper teens in HRs and projects as an average regular. And he's lost significant time to injury again this year so there appear to be durability questions. I've removed him from my Top 150 for the time being. He can get back on if he starts hitting better and stays on the field longer. I would say there are better options re: stashing prospects.
