16 Team H2H with OBA and Holds

After back-to-back championships in 21 and 22, we fell off in 23 despite an MVP, A Cy Young, and a RoY. The 2024 draft was about restocking and the start of the 2024 season was ugly in consequence. Several projected starters went to MiLB in April. In addition, preseason and early season injuries to Gerrit Cole, Gavin Williams, Ronald Acuna, Luis Robert, and others made for a slow start.

However, Wyatt Langford, Jackson, Merrill, and Paul Skenes are up and producing. Gunnar Henderson and Elly de la Cruz have gone nuts while Logan O'hoppe and Brandon Marsh are outproducing their draft slot. Even without Acuna and Robert, the offense has been solid and the pitching is starting to get healthy. I have moved to the rear of the playoff car.

Here are the keepers and optioned players in draft order. Three keepers are mandatory. The option cost is the draft round in ().

Nice squad! Pass on PCA, Mayo, DeLautet. Probably also Jobe, Sasaki, Wetherholt.

Passing on PCA is a real possibility. His option is getting pricey. Mayo and DeLauter get to that level next year. Both have three options left. The others are long-term plays.

I'm shocked that you would consider dropping Jobe. Yes, he has been injured but he has high-90s heat and is only 21. The rehab assignments is going well so he could debut anytime after the All-Star game.

Update: Picked up Deyvison De Los Santos for PCA.

I'm high on Jobe but you realize "high-90s heat" isn't unique at all anymore right? That's a large % of all pitchers.

What makes Jobe elite is the ability to command that heat and the slider and changeup that back it up.
