Dallas/Houston then? Aren't they both in the top 10 metro areas?

Went to a NY one two or three years ago, was worth it. Haven't gone back as it always seems like the date is a conflict.....as it is again this year

I got the green-light to attend the one in Maryland on Friday, March 1. If anyone else is going, drop me a note and maybe we can meet up.

I've posted this before, but we did an extended spring conference like the Phoenix one in Tampa several years ago -- and it was in conjunction with the NFBC -- there were more speakers than attendees and we asked a couple of speakers not to make the trip.

I personally had a blast -- I'd much rather be at a spring game than a casino in Vegas where I would have been for the NFBC otherwise.
I would think Chicago would also draw from Milwaukee and Madison.

It does - but that doesn't preclude the need for two sites to justify the travel cost. I forget the reason, but they were only able to do one city in the Midwest but since Chicago is such a big draw (with a ton of great speakers) they are obviously doing it without a second site this year.

The spring First Pitch lineup is out: http://www.baseballhq.com/seminars/index.shtml

The DC/Baltimore one is in Tysons on Friday Mar. 7, so might have to check it out.

Come to Cincinnati and get a tour of the ballpark and the Reds Hall of Fame (which is quite good). Don't eat the "chili" though.

Nothing wrong with the local version of "chili". It's different, that's all. Just had some for lunch today , before spending over three hours with an IRS field auditor at a client's place of business.

Wouldn't you know it. They schedule one here in Cincinnati--on the day I'll be up in beautiful Canton, land of mystery and enchantment, for my first auction of the season. Ouch.

At least they didn't add insult to injury by having it at the hotel across the parking lot from my office.

Having been to the last two Arizona fall forums, I recommend the forums to everyone except perhaps those who are in my leagues.

                            Welcome to the asylum!

I think you'll enjoy First Pitch. Tons of useful information and ways to approach the game--not that I've been able to use it so far, but it was good stuff.

                              Thanks!

I'm excited to check it out. I recently moved out this way and I'm excited to be able to attend something like this.

I've already signed up. I'm sure Fresno will as well. Another guy from one of my leagues usually comes also. Find us. Let's shake hands.

In the past, we have met up with Shandler and the gang for breakfast before, but I'm not sure about this year. I don't think Shandler is making the West Coast swing this year.
