  • Let's look at some big busts

Because that's what the internet is for right?

Bryce Harper hasn't homered since May 25 despite playing almost every day.

Is he a buy low candidate? Or Kris Bryant 2.0? Or Anthony Rendon 3.0?

Anthony Rizzo hasn't homered since May 20 after going yard 11 times before that. But that's probably because Judge has been out of the lineup. Maybe.

It's probably more of a prolonged slump than a bust for Rizzo.

      Alek Manoah says hi.
Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

Corbin Burnes's K/9 is just 8.5, down from 10.8 last year and 12.6 in '21. That goes along with a 4.10 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Doesn't come close to Manoah's implosion, but it's a major disappointment.

Justin Verlander has a 4.11 ERA and 1.23 WHIP and his K/9 is down to a very pedestrian 7.7.

Sandy Alcantara may be turning a corner, but his 4.82 ERA is still gross.

Kyle Schwarber is 16 points below the Mendoza line, killing teams in BA leagues.

Jose Abreu has just 6 HRs in 300 ABs.

Alejandro Kirk is hitting .251 with 3 HRs and just 14 runs in 183 ABs

Javier Baez has a 65 OPS+ with just 5 HRs. He was just dropped in my 15tm league, oof.

Manny Machado is hitting .243/.286/.392, the worst season of his career.

Tim Anderson is also having far and away the worst season of his career, with a ghastly .226/.265/.264 line with ZERO HRs. Over his last four seasons prior to this one, his line was .318/.347/.474.

If available, I would target Alcantara, Abreu, Machado, Verlander & Burnes and avoid the rest.

He had 5 HR & 21 RBI along with a .292 BA in June. So I think he may be ok now. I think he's a good buy low if his owner still isn't convinced.

Verlander threw 7 shutout innings yesterday. The K's are still down. But that just may be the way it is now without the sticky stuff. I think he's a good buy low.

I traded for Manoah in my AL league only giving up Cole Winn $5M. With a pitching staff that started with McKenzie, LGarcia and Mahle I’m desperate for starters. Zero walks in 6 innings is encouraging.
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

                    What about Cedric Mullins?

I would have said Willy Adames but he finally seems to be coming around.

How is Ced Mullins a big bust?? I'm confused.

He been better this year than he was last year.

What were you expecting to get exactly?

Yeah, Mullins was doing OK before he got hurt. Hasnt done much after returning yet.

                          Makes sense, groin injuries linger

Machado feels like the right buy low (if you can).
