2013 Official Should I Extend Thread

    2013 Official Should I Extend Thread

    Since we do not have a AGM forum anymore maybe we can create a consolidated thread to discuss extensions for keepers leagues. I am sure someone can get some valuable information from peoples individual players and their thoughts.

    To get started:
    10 Team NL Only (Astros rostered are grandfathered) 4x4 $290 17/10 Typically 25%ish Inflation
    We can extend $5 per year extended.

    Freeman $7, My thought 1 Year to $12. First base is rough in NL.
    Hill $17, no extension. Great year last year, but not sure I trust him at $22.
    Altuve $11, tweener extension. Love him as he is probably a 30 SB guy
    Wainwright $1, Extend at least 1 year. My only concern is his is a FA after this year.
    Kimbrell-$6, Extend 2 years.
    Lucroy $1 Extend 1 year. Two catcher league.

    I think you nailed this for a 4x4. I would not extend Altuve.

        Agreed. I love Altuve, but I'm not sure he's worth the money or that he will play at this level for very long.

          Yup, agreed. I see Altuve as a poor man's Pedroia, but even so, I would not extend.

          Normally, I don't extend pitchers, but at those prices, those two won't kill you.

            Pretty low risk list for a 10 tm NL with 17/10 rosters. I would probably pop on Hill with $5 extension.
