News often comes too late to be factored into rankings and ADP data. For Example, Yahoo had Trevor Story and Liam Hendricks ranked in their initial top 200. I might take Story if he was available after pick 400 in my keeper league. Hendricks has cancer and he's 34 years old, so full pass for now. The Yankees just announce Frankie Montas will have shoulder surgery.

The rankings tend to be fixed in their league platform. I think that commissioners don't like changes, especially at the top of the board. Later rounds not so much. At first, the Story injury was not expected to be a long one.

That said, you have a point.
