  • exhibit 57234 why HOF voting is so screwed up

Look, I love that a writer took the time to use JAWS to compare candidates, but FFS, you should know what the system does and does not measure

It takes but 5 seconds to look up its definition - http://www.baseballprospectus.com/gl...wstat&stat=477

      I mean, http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/jaws_SS.shtml

If Ozzie Smith is ranked ahead of Larkin, Banks, and Jeter, that should tell you right there that fielding is a factor.

and tonight, Jon Heyman had this to say about Jack Morris

2 things -- 1, Blyleven and Morris were never on the same team. 2 - the only year Stewart & Morris pitched together, Morris won 7 of 27 starts and had a 6.19 ERA that season.

At this point, the only reason CBS keeps Heyman is for the Boras scoops. What a complete and utter hack

Wow, that is an embarassment. And these old school guys still dismiss bloggers who don't do their research...clearly the medium used, and not even years of experience makes one immune to shoddy research and poor journalism.

Jack Morris may have pitched first for the Blue Jays in 1992 but he was by far not their best pitcher. In the WS, he was 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA and 1.78 WHIP... Quite an ace and HOF worthy...
