so far it's just two canadians voting, not exactly the most objective ... or maybe we just know ...
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

Good poll idea. A lot of wildcards/unknowns in it, but I'd pick between the Tigers and the Giants. Dodgers certainly have a top notch 1-2. Toronto could be the best with health and a repeat from Dickey, but that doesn't seem totally likely. I'll give the edge to the Tigers given my lack of faith in Lincecum and Zito. Is Fister really a #2 over Scherzer?

          where's the Nationals?

          1 - Strasburg
          2 - G. Gonzalez
          3 - Haren
          4 - J. Zimmermann
          5 - Detwiler

I went Tiggers as the 1-5 is better. Could be the Jays if Johnson stays healthy and Morrow can pitch 200 innings like he pitched in 2012 and Romero pitches like he did in 2011 but there are a lot more "ifs" there than you see in Detroit. The other teams match up well for #1 & #2 or maybe even the #3 starter but after that Detroit has the edge. I would probably put Washington behind Detroit but ahead of the other teams listed.

The obvious answer is the Yankees.

Sorry. I cant even key that with a straight face.

                Tigers or Giants.

Or the Reds. Include Chapman, and the Reds had four of the top 26 pitchers by WAR last year, with Homer Bailey coming in at 43.

                  2013 projected rotation, per mlbdepthcharts:
                  1 RHP Johnny Cueto
                  2 RHP Mat Latos
                  3 RHP Bronson Arroyo
                  4 RHP Homer Bailey
                  5 LHP Aroldis Chapman

I'm with Revo- I take the Nats over any of those listed. Mainly because I see their #4-5 as being far superior to others' 4-5.

i voted giants before i remembered the Nats have easily the best rotation.

I am apparently only the second "other" vote, but I am with revo and hombre; I'll take the Nats. Hell, the Phillies are an option and their fifth starter was non-tendered by the Nats because he wasn't going to make the rotation.

You only need three for the playoffs, so I'd take my chances with Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels, but the Phillies #4 and #5 don't match-up with the other top rotations. If we are talking 1 through 5, I think that I like the Nationals.
