Done deal. The other guy is graduating, getting married and dealing with a kids for the first time. I think he wants to win and go. In any event he is in full 'win now and dont worryabout the future' mode.

That was part of my thinking as well. Doumit has less mileage, despite being older. Both Doumit and Mauer have harsh medical histories. I got Mauer as the balancer of a deal involving Votto and Trout, so I was not overly attached to him.
