Napoli was #1 on my catcher list, but that didn't really matter, as I didn't intend on taking a catcher this soon.

Today's picks--Kendrick is solid but uninspiring IMO. Walker was high on my 2B list (in fact, #2) and I was hoping he'd be overlooked. Lilly was another guy I hoped was under the radar, a foolish hope with this crowd. Beltran is a risky play, one of several so far for revo; I looked at him last night and wondered if anyone was paying attention to him. I wasn't interested yet, as there are lots of good and healthy OFs left, but I knew someone would be interested soon. The only reason I was ignoring Desmond is that I already have a SS and wasn't thinking of filling the MI spot just yet.

Totally agree on your evaluation of Kendrick. I just didnt see much to be inspired about offensively with whats out there and there is so many good pitchers out ther, I felt I could wait.

I don't know if it will matter in the end, but I think the Feliz pick will need to be considered a P or RP but not SP as Frank indicated in the draft thread. I don't think Feliz started any games last year so could not be drafted there to start 2011.

Did anyone PM Fantastico and others about upcoming picks?

I hate picking in the exact middle of a draft this deep. Sure it also sucks to have 40 players off the board at the turn but then you get to pick two players. But when it's always 20 players off then you get one, it really sucks.

I found Bartlett to be a head-scratcher as I have 6 SS ranked ahead of him.

I started my cheat sheet with ESPN's top 250. I just spent some time adding about 10 guys at each position since that list wasn't nearly deep enough for this draft. Bartlett was not on their initial 250 so I'm glad I just added him. But I am with you, I have about 7 guys ahead of him right now. Then again, there isn't much difference between any of them and scarce positions are flying off the board.

It seems like no one is happy picking where they are!! Or at least the dislike for your spot increases the deeper in the draft you go.

My problem with being on the end is that there can be a pretty big difference between player 40 and player 80 versus the differences between 30, 50, 70 and 90, IMO

Well, in a 20-team draft, you're not gonna come close to getting everyone you want, regardless of where you pick. It's just more obvious the later it gets.
