I kept putting off taking a 1B because there was always a more pressing need. I almost took Scott last round but decided to gamble. When the pitching run started, I almost went with it, but I looked at the other remaining 1Bs and decided I can get more pitching later.

Still, seeing my #1, #2, and #4 SPs disappear (Lewis, D. Hudson, and Marcum, respectively) was very disappointing.

I didn't realize Scott qualified at 1B. I keep forgetting we are going by 15 games. The list I'm using assumes 20 games. I probably would have taken Fowler instead of Scott but I would have given him some thought.

Pagan and Torres... hard to tell them apart. Looked at both last round, probably would have taken one this round if they were still there. At this point Cecil Fielder would probably improve my team speed.

His ability to give up the HR ball scares me away from him. I like the resent Marcum, Morrow and Hudson picks better at this point in the draft.

As a James Shields owner last year, I think that the supporting data lies...he's perhaps the most frustrating guy that I've ever owned. To paraphrase a former football scout, the guy looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.
