Input on Max Scherzer offer

Ok, I got an offer for my $24 Scherzer. He would probably go for $30+ in our draft so I would take him in. The offer isn't worth mentioning because I wouldn't think of taking it, but knowing that this owner is interested I was thinking of countering. See if you think there is anyone here on his team you think would be a fair deal straight up for Max. If you think there is more than one player that would be fair, please rank them in order.

I have Trout in our 12 Team AL only $260 keeper league. I would not take Scherzer straight up for him. If you can pull that off I would do it in a heart beat.

Yeah, I think the guy would have to be delusional to give you Trout - asking for him might torpedo the deal entirely.

It looks like you might benefit from going cheaper, so I like Bourjos (if he's starting) or Raburn... but you don't have any other SPs, so I'm not sure I'd be excited about doing either of those in your shoes. Could you get Rios and go LIMA with some high skill, cheap SPs? (I worry about that approach if Scherzer is a $30 buy at auction, though)

So maybe ask for Trout and try to settle for Rios - not a great deal for him but anything else isn't worth doing for you.
