Oooo, wait til Mith finds out that CarGo is done for the year. New thread insulting his manhood in 3...2...1...
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less."
"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."
"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master - that's all."

CarGo has been done for the year since early August..Nothing new here.

He went for 45 in our NL only league this year. I wonder if he will be kept? Does about a .300 ave, 95 rbi, 90 runs, 30 hr. and 10 sbs in 143 games prior to this year make one take a chance? Not for me. I hope the owner keeps him.

The Tulo owner in our league loves the young guys and usually won't trade them unless you give up a fortune. After the end of 2010 and a slow start in 2011 I was on the verge of getting Tulo last year pretty cheap. He had one good game and the owner pulled the deal, which worked for him last year. I inquired this year but the price was Starlin Castro or Justin Verlander. The guy has Tulo locked in for 3 more years and I hope he enjoys those dollars being sucked down.

            Final update on Tulo's status:

The Rockies have revised the plan to shut down shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. Instead, they will have him play in the field for one pitch on Wednesday's season finale in Arizona. According to manager Jim Tracy, Tulowitzki will bat eighth in the lineup in order to ensure his turn at bat will more than likely not come up in the top of the first inning. Then, Tulowitzki will be transported in a wheelchair by a team trainer out to shortstop, where he will stand for one pitch. If the pitch is put in play in his direction, Tulowitzki has been instructed to not attempt to make a play on the ball. After that one pitch, Tulowitzki will be removed from the game for Josh Rutledge.

"It may not sound like much, but standing in the field for that one pitch is a big deal to me. Just to start to get over some of the trust hurdles I have, just for some peace of mind," said Tulowitzki. "I'll be taking every precaution possible with the wheelchair. Walking out to shortstop way be a little much for me. I think I can handle standing, maybe crouching as the pitch is delivered, probably not a lot more. It's more of a psychological thing for me. I just need to try and start breaking down some of these trust barriers, as I said."

"I'm just not ready to get in the box at this level yet. I told Tracy to bat me eighth, so I probably won't come up in the first. I just want to take every precaution possible so I'm prepared for my shutdown next June when we'll be ten or more games out. My whole offseason will be dedicated to preparing to give it my all for at least a couple months next season. We'll see what happens, maybe I'll make it to July. Miracles happen."

Couldn't you have made a new thread for this post? I think it's warranted.

I can't believe that the Rockies would be too keen about this. It's not like they've invested $100M+ in the guy.
