Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe reports that Will Middlebrooks was diagnosed with a broken right wrist.
Tough break for the rookie, who was hit in the wrist by a pitch during Friday's game. Assuming the report is true, Middlebrooks will almost certainly be done for the season. The recently-acquired Danny Valencia is expected to be called up from the minors for Saturday's game and is worth adding in AL-only fantasy leagues.
