  • Who should NL only folks be looking to grab in the Phillies' new OF?

In deep NL leagues, there has to be some value that's going to emerge there. Dominic Brown? Laynce Nix? Who else will be coming?

Brown is definitely coming up, already packed his bags and left AAA. They may just stick with Yayberry and Nix in the other spot. But Pierre is also rumored to be on the trade block.

Brown is not coming up to sit, so he's one of the guys. Not sure if they deal Pierre or not.

Got to think Brown will play, but left or right? He is bad at either. Mayberry will either platoon [wrong side of it] with Pierre in left or man CF himself. Pridie, whom they DFA'ed just a week or 2 ago is about the only other guy who plays CF, so Mayberry may well have CF to himself [pretty good defender out there, too]. If Mayberry plays CF, then Schierholz would be in RF and Brown in LF; Schierholz is a terrific defensive RF'er. Just because they traded for him, you would think they will play him enough to prove he is or isn't just a 4th OF.
So, rambling over: Brown in left, Mayberry in center, Schierholz in right should be the "regular" lineup in OF, with Nix and Pierre and Pridie rotating in.
          Bearin' up!

Don't be surprised to see Brown in CF. He was better there in the minors than in LF or RF.

              on brown via TheGoodPhight.com...

At the end of the night, his OPS of 2.000 leads Mike Trout and Bryce Harper COMBINED. Let *that* sink in for a while.
