took a foul ball off it. too bad, he was really putting it together.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

and the talk on the Jays broadcast now is that this injury, combined with Romero crapping the bed today should turn the Jays from buyers into sellers. Having said that I'm not sure what they have to sell anymore that isn't on the DL.

Really? I'd have thought it was when he went out to the mound after Romero gave up the first half dozen runs or so and punched him in the face.
I'm just here for the baseball.

Prospects Greg. I truly hope they hang onto the top ones. The new format means they can compete in a 1 game playoff for the right to be the Wild Card team. Screw that.

The Jays are set up for a long term building plan - to send the best pieces out there for 2K12 as trade bait seems silly to me.

We're Canadian. And obviously patient (almost 20 yrs since the hey-day)

          DO NOT TRADE AR'NAUD!

I was watching the game and noticed he doesn't put his throwing hand behind his back. Not something I usually notice, but I know little league kids are taught to do that. Is it rare in the majors? I just checked video from 3 other games tonight and only one catcher made an obvious effort to protect that hand.

if we're looking to next year I sure don't want to be dealing any prospects now that potentially could be worth a lot more in the offseason or next summer. as far as position players to deal, I really don't see much ... maybe EE and Kelly Johnson for the right name ...

I noticed this a few seasons ago ... it's pretty rare to see a catcher try to protect their bare hand anymore

Think they will trade EE after locking him up? Pretty reasonable contract for the production the Jays get.

All I know is this injury cost me a run at a league title.

Losing A-rod and J.P in less than 24 hours with Tulowitzki, Lubeke, Wilson, Hammel, and Maybin all going down at some point... it's a miracle I even managed to compete this long.
