Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Some people are like Slinkies, they are not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I think I agree with this. Iglesias may see time sooner since his glove is ready.

Hmmm...for fantasy baseball purposes, I'd take Gordon before Machado.

I specifically asked Jason about Gordon during the chat yesterday (as I am an owner) and I am paraphrasing that one Furcal has a option that kicks in if he hits 600 PA (don't laugh) and two Gordon's stock has fallen.

I was aware of the option, and I really doubt Furcal makes it. I'd be curious as to why, in Jason's view, Gordon's stock has fallen, as what I've read just goes along the lines of "he's an old prospect". For what he can deliver in speed and runs potential, I think Gordon has a pretty large fantasy baseball upside.

Mind you, Machado still would be a fine pick.

Good question. Have you seen him, he weighs 120 soaking wet. Maybe people are concerned that he is one of those people that can have his bat knocked out of his hands. That said, he has a speed potential that has plenty of fantasy value.

Yes, I saw him in his Midwest League days. Even in A ball, he showed not only blinding speed, but even a clue how to use it - he worked pretty hard at bunting, for example. I forgot who the Dodgers sent down to work with him, but he was also working at reading pitchers at that level.

I should add Jean Segura, Jurickson Profar and Chistian Colon.

Is the consensus that Wilmer Flores won't see any time this year, even he's hitting and the Mets are way out of it and pondering a decision on Reyes?

                        I don't think so.
